The Truck-Mounted Foldable Crane is an inexpensive and versatile solution for many customers needs. A customer in Minnesota requires a crane to be able to aid him in loading and unloading large tools and equipment from his truck often in remote locations. The Truck Mounted Foldable Crane was the the perfect solution. This crane folds up for portability, has built in handles for easy handling, and can rotate 360 degrees. Adding a battery powered lifting cylinder allows this crane to be easily operated by a remote control and saves time and effort in loading and unloading the truck. It may also be equipped with a manual or powered winch cable lift.
Many interior generator rooms have very low headroom for performing maintenance and repairs on large gen-pack units. Rooftops also have heavy HVAC equipment that can be not only difficult to service but can also be hazardous for employees carrying lifting and handling equipment to the roof. The aluminum low profile gantry crane coupled with a V-Master floor crane can be the perfect solution. The V-Master is lightweight and can be disassembled for easy transport. The V-Master can then be used to assemble the Low-Profile Aluminum Gantry Crane. Not only is this convenient, but only one or two people are needed to assemble the Gantry Crane utilizing this system. Rooftops often also have limited load limits per square inch of load, this can be overcome by making a wider base for even weight distribution, or by simply making rails for the crane to travel on. If the equipment is to be left outside it can be finished with a variety of coatings.
A customer in the aeronautical industry was looking for a way to change out their helicopter blades. They were roughly 18′ of the ground and weighed in upwards of 750 lbs. each. This was a great solution for our Self-Propelled Port-O-Giant floor crane with a goose-neck boom. This solution worked great as they were able to straddle the helicopter and get the boom positioned very easily. They had a far distance to travel into the aircraft hanger so the self propulsion was necessary so the operator didn’t have to push the crane a far distance. The crane was equipped with both a goose-neck boom and winch which enabled them to reach up and over the helicopter blades making it an easy pick and place with little human effort required. The crane also came with powered mast rotation allowing them to position the boom to the left or right helicopter if the crane wasn’t aligned properly.
A customer approached Air Technical Industries with a challenge, they have two shipboard spaces that a crane is needed to be used in. The crane will need to be able to traverse a passageway that is only 30” wide. Due to the shipboard application a heavy duty crane with a 6000 pound capacity is required. The solution is an Adjustable leg Super-Master-6000 with a modified base. This crane will have a modified base in order to fit in the 30” passageway, adjustable legs so that the load can be centered between them, and it will have a manual hand pump for the lift.
Air Technical will go the extra mile to satisfy a customers needs with
regards to the finished coating we put on a product. Our standard finish
is Industrial enamel paint. Non standard finishes include epoxy paint,
Marine grade paint and Steel-It® paint. These applications are requested
when one of our products is exposed to wet or damp conditions. The
product may be used outdoors or simply subject to being washed down on a
regular basis depending what application it is serving. One finish that
lends it self very well to outdoor applications is ” HOT DIP
GALVANIZING”. This is the best and most durable way to water proof a
product. AIR TECHNICAL’S most recent “Hot Dipped Galvanizing” projects
is that of our Self Propelled 24 volt battery powered Port-O-Giant
Mobile Hydraulic Floor Crane. A large manufacturer of commercial
airliners came to us and needed a crane that was portable, self contained
and would reach height of 26 feet to hang fuselage panels during the
manufacturing process of new Jet Airliners. This customer stores the
unit in an a storage shed away from the manufacturing area and they
wanted the crane to be protected from the elements when going to and
from the shed to the manufacturing area as well as while sitting in the
storage shed which retains moisture.
Let AIR TECHNICAL INDUSTRIES quote your next application that
requires special finishing such as Hot Dipped Galvanizing.
A customer approached ATI with the need for a crane that can be disassembled carried up to a roof and then reassembled in order to remove cooling units that are mounted on a surface 10 feet above the rooftop level. These units weigh about four hundred pounds, and have been removed and replaced by maintenance personnel using a series of scaffolding and lots of effort. This method has resulted in lost work days due to injuries to hands, shoulders, and backs.
The solution is the manual PG-6000 with a gooseneck boom attachment. This crane can be easily disassembled and transported to the roof and then reassembled. The gooseneck attachment height is 17 feet easily allowing the Port-O-Giant mobile hydraulic floor crane access to the mounted cooling units. This solution allows for safe and efficient removal and replacement of the rooftop units.
